Midterm

Instructions:

First of all, each of you has the ability to build the programs (scripts) to get the results asked for. For each script, ask yourself, "What is the final result of this program?" Then work backwards. There is nothing here we haven't done in class, so look at what you've done before. A warning though: Don't just copy something you've done. Just use the methods. Treat each question uniquely.

Make sure you show your comments, and that they explain what the script is doing. 

Finally, save your scripts as HTML docs and link the answers to your projects page. Then save the pages as text files and upload them to the Dropbox file requests for each.

 

 

 

 

M1 - WE LOVE ET-712

M2 - TAXING THE RICH

People have often felt that if you earn a lot of money, your taxes should be higher. A proposal might be the following: If you earn under $100,000, your tax rate is 10%. Over $100,000, the rate is 20%. Create a script that displays taxes for 2 people, one earning $75,000, the other $200,000.

M3 - DETERMINING THE VOTE

Pollsters have figured out that voters under the age of 65 generally vote Democrat, while those 65 and older tend to vote Republican. Create a script that processes a person's age and how they might vote

M4 - LEAP YEARS

 

Using a Loop, display all of the Leap Years from 2000 to the mid-Twenty-First century.
